Jenny and RJ were married January 9 at the Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale, NY and had their reception at the gorgeous, chateau-inspired Sand Castle in Franklin Square.
Jenny and RJ met in college when Jenny was a freshman and RJ was a senior. They were introduced by mutual friends and, in Jenny's words, were “inseparable ever since.” RJ proposed to Jenny where they had their first date: in midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park. We love how “New York” RJ's proposal was too. He conspired with his friends to set up a picnic in the park while the couple enjoyed a Broadway matinee. After Jenny and RJ ate, RJ pulled out his guitar for a serenade, followed by the drop to one knee.
From the very start working with Jenny and RJ was great. Their family and friends were so amazing and embraced us immediately. Neo started the day with Jenny while our second shooter Chris got with RJ and the guys. All day long, their family and friends made us feel like one of them.
Each wedding is exciting and different, and being able to capture such incredible moments is truly rewarding work. Jenny and RJ gave us some great moments. Our favorite image was the first one in the post. We told them to interact naturally and it was perfect.
We absolutely love that RJ prerecorded his wedding song, Thinking Out Loud, rather than letting Ed Sheeran do all the work. Jenny and the crowd were so surprised to hear RJ sing it!
Jenny and RJ were a blast to work with. They have an amazing and hilarious group of friends. Their families were so loving and supportive, and it was just a pleasure to be around them. Thank you so much for allowing Studio 27 to capture the memories on your wedding day!
