One thing that never grows old while doing wedding photography is hearing the love stories of our couples. There are only a few like the one of Nicole & Michael. Theirs is one that actually goes full circle!
Twenty six years after first meeting on the altar at St. Agnes in Rockville Center, NY on August 26, 1989 for their Christenings, Nicole and Michael shared the altar once again to forever solidify their lifelong bond as husband and wife. No, they didn’t baby talk their way into a loving relationship back in ’89, but they did reconnect in Middle School and dated throughout their high school years.
Mike is a true romantic and made sure to build his proposal around the two things Nicole and Mike love most, Michael Buble and Christmas. (Not necessarily in that order). On December 21, 2014, while making their traditional gingerbread house for Christmas, "Everything,” by Michael Buble started playing (nice move Mike). He stopped icing the gingerbread house, and requested a special dance. (Even nicer move Mike). They were having so much fun, giggling as they danced around the kitchen. After spinning Nicole around, she turned to find Mike on one knee with an amazing solitaire diamond complete with a diamond band from Pesselnick & Cohen in New York City and she said YES!! (Best move yet Mike!)
Their special day was rooted in family tradition and the pride of having their most important friends and family in one room. Nicole honored her grandmother with lace from her wedding dress, placed around her bouquet. She wore an antique bracelet with blue sapphires (her something blue) from her great grandmother. Michael and his groomsmen honored his uncle lost on 9/11 with dime heads-up cuff links.
Some of Nicole & Mike’s favorite moments from their special day include reading their love notes to one another and seeing each other for the first time from across the aisle at the church. One of their favorite photos was taken just outside the church. A gentle kiss amidst the bridal parties bubbles.
They capped the night off with a limbo competition at Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park, NY, which Nicole won.
The additional beauty of the James Clifford dress from Bridal Reflections, shoes from Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook, jewelry from Esther's Place in Oceanside and flowers from Doris the Florist in Island Park, NY added to the days allure. The beautiful work of Carmen Prato on makeup, Jamie Muscarella on hair helped to compliment the natural beauty of Nicole. As usual, New York Nights Entertainment rocked the party all night and Cruise Control Limo completely complemented their day.
As one of Long Island’s premier wedding photographers, it was an honor and pleasure to serve you Nicole and Michael, and from our family to yours, we wish you many years of happiness!!
